A Ukrainian school will be opened in Warsaw

Due to a large number of Ukrainian refugees, a Ukrainian school will be opened in Warsaw. This was reported by Chitomo with reference to the Polish media.

The school will start working in a month, education will be available for students of all grades - from the 1st to 11th. The institution can accommodate about 170 schoolchildren. Those wishing to get on the reserve list are to send an application to the email [email protected].

The area of the office in which the school is arranged is 1.2 thousand square meters. The premises were provided free of charge by Immofinanz, which owns the building. And the architects of the XYstudio studio are working on the adaptation of the space.

"Currently, the situation in Warsaw's schools is not easy: there is a critical shortage of places. The number of schoolchildren from Ukraine who have started studying in Warsaw is already over 10,000. At the same time, most of the children joined Polish classes without proper training,” - said Rafal Tschaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw.

Mr. Tschaskowski mentioned that there are more than 90,000 children from Ukraine in the Polish capital.

Earlier, as of March 7, Russian troops destroyed or damaged 211 Ukrainian schools.
