The Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland, Andriy Deshchytsia, announced on his Facebook page that Warsaw authorities could give the Szpiegowo building complex in the Polish capital to a Ukrainian school.
The ambassador met with Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of using Szpiegowo for the essential needs of Ukraine and Poland.
"Until the mid-1990s, high-ranking Soviet officials and active Russian spies lived and operated there (in the building complex - LB.ua). For almost 30 years, the famous building complex has been empty, although it is under constant protection. The Polish government and the capital's authorities have been trying to regain ownership for years. Still, Russia does not want to consider this, ignoring court decisions. We have concluded that this is a place for a Ukrainian school, not for the illegally occupied "Russian island", Deshchytsia said.
Deshchytsia and Trzaskowski also discussed the possibility of renaming streets in Warsaw to Ukrainian themes. "For example, the Alley of the Heavenly Hundred," said the Ukrainian ambassador.
The Paris city council voted to assign "honorary citizenship" to Kyiv.
Radio Ukraine has started broadcasting in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The project is designed for Ukrainians forced to leave Ukraine due to hostilities.
