Russian troops destroy Mariupol, evacuation of all civilians is necessary

On the instructions of President Putin, the Russian military almost completely destroyed Mariupol. All civilians must be evacuated.

This was stated in an interview with the Polish TV channel TVP World by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk.

"There is no infrastructure, water, heat, communications, or food left in the city. Every day we try to evacuate 3-4 thousand people who go on foot. Sometimes they have to cover 10-20 kilometers. People are tired, hungry, and don’t have the opportunity to dress well. That's why our volunteers and buses get to these civilians, pick them up from the streets and take them to Zaporizhia," the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration quoted the head of the ministry as saying.

Iryna Vereshchuk told how Mariupol residents got out of the fire, overcoming fear. According to her, there are many cases when the occupiers use weapons to shoot refugees and don’t give any opportunity to help them, especially the sick and exhausted.

"Among Mariupol residents there are many who need immediate help. Fortunately, local doctors are helping. They are very tired, but continue to work. There are also volunteers who try to deliver at least a small amount of food and medicine in their own cars," Iryna Vereshchuk said.

According to her, the Red Cross and the UN do not have access to the city. Representatives of these organizations ask to establish a humanitarian corridor every day, but they still cannot get there.
