Alexei Sharov, commander of the 810th Separate Guards Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet stationed in Sevastopol, was killed in Mariupol on 22 March.
The death of Colonel Oleksiy Sharov was confirmed by Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. According to him, this is the fifth loss of a commander of this rank in the enemy army.
On the morning of 23 March, a Spokesman for the Odesa Regional Military Administration Sergiy Bratchuk, also announced the death of the commander of the Russian Marine Brigade.
An officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatoliy Stefan , wrote that Colonel Oleksiy Sharov (in Mariupol) who was a Commander of the 810th Brigade of Special Order of the Zhukov of the Marine Corps, got lost in so-called “training” and now would return home correctly.
The Russian authorities in Sevastopol have not yet officially announced Sharov's death, Krym.Realii reports. Earlier, the Occupation Authorities of Sevastopol acknowledged that at least 11 Russian servicemen, living in the city, were killed on the mainland of Ukraine.
On 23 March, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that Russia had already lost about 15,600 men from its troops.
