Russian night shelling of Sumy region killed and injured civilians.
This was announced by the head of Sumy region Dmytro Zhyvyts’kyy.
"The night was relatively calm in the region, except for Okhtyrka district," the statement said.
Zhyvytskyy noted that the Trostyanets community has been a hot spot for days.
"Also at night, the enemy Russian army fired rockets at Okhtyrka. Getting into the residential sector, high-rise buildings. There are dead and injured civilians," - the head of the regional state administration added.
Update. In Okhtyrka, rescuers managed to rescue an injured woman from the rubble of damaged houses, and the body of the killed person was also released. This was reported in the SES.
In other settlements of Okhtyrka region where the enemy struck by air strikes, rescuers released four victims from the rubble and extinguished fires in residential buildings.
Earlier, as a result of attack of the Russian Federation from heavy artillery of private houses in Trostyanets three pensioners were killed.
