Two-time Paralympic champion in paracanoeing Serhiy Emelyanov made the decision to help the Ukrainian army with its fight against Russian aggression.
The 28-year-old athlete decided to sell his gold medal of the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo and donate all funds to our soldiers.
In addition to the Paralympic gold in 2020, Emelyanov became Paralympic champion in the KL3 class in 2016 - among athletes with lower extremity injuries.
The athlete is also a four-time world champion (2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021).
