Ukrainian bronze medalist of Olympics 2020 is ready to sell his medal to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Bronze medalist of Tokyo Olympics 2020, Ukrainian athlete (karate) Stanislav Horuna is ready to sell his medal to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine as reported by Fanday.net.

"Am I ready to sell my medal to help the army? Sure I am. I just don’t know how it can be done. If someone wants to buy it, please let me know. My result is recorded. The medal is just a piece of metal," - Horuna said.

"I signed a contract with the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in Lviv in November 2019. And I have always presented UAF at competitions. When it all started, I got a call from my military unit at 5 a.m.

Then I quickly packed my belongings and went to the military unit to get instructions on what to do next. From the very first day, we received arms and were told what each of us had to do. Currently, I am with the same military unit," said the Olympic medalist.
