Government explained conditions for the 0% business loans

The government explained the conditions for the business to use 0% loans during martial law. Such loans will be provided for up to 60 million hryvnias to any Ukrainian enterprise under the “Affordable loans 5-7-9%” program for business loans. Recently President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the expansion of this program.

First Deputy Prime Minister, Yulia Svyrydenko, said on Facebook that the government approved the decision on March 18. The 0% loans will be provided to any business during martial law and one month after it is lifted. Then the rate will be 5% annually.

“The loan period under the “5-7-9” program will depend on the purpose of the funds. The loan for implementing the investment project and refinancing the debt is provided for a maximum of 5 years. To finance working capital - for 3 years," Svyrydenko said.

Also, the government extended the list of instruments, which will allow the banks to loan to businesses in the absence of provision. The export credit agency will be able to ensure the loans of exporting entrepreneurs. This will make it much easier for them to access cheap financing.

Any Ukrainian company, where the final beneficiaries with more than 50% shares are Ukrainians, can get the loan. Loans will not be provided to enterprises whose participants or final beneficiaries are citizens of the aggressor state or persons who were part of terrorist organizations.

Other restrictions are lifted. In particular, restrictions on the amount of permissible state aid that an entrepreneur may receive will not be applied during martial law. Previously, such a restriction was in force by law.
