The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine suggested changing the work of customs to facilitate the supply of goods for defense needs and humanitarian aid. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this information in an address to citizens.
"During the day, officials worked out how to completely reset the customs. As a result, the cargo for our defense needs, for the needs of our people, will be imported into Ukraine as easily as the laws of physics allow," the President said.
He also emphasized that now supplies will not be subject to VAT; all other duties and payments will be canceled.
"We are removing all the bureaucracy, all papers, VAT, and all customs duties. The goal is obvious: the human factor does not interfere with the speed of goods' supply. They are essential right now," said the President.
In his address, Zelenskyy also said that meaningful negotiations on peace and security for Ukraine are the only chance for the Russian Federation to reduce the damage of its own mistakes.
