Direct one-time losses for Ukraine due to the invasion of the Russian Federation already exceed $500 bn, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, reported during the briefing following the meeting with the Prime Ministers of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia on the night of Wednesday, March 16.

“Out government set up the respective group, which is already operating and evaluating the economic losses due to Russian aggression. Preliminary calculations show what currently direct one-time losses for Ukraine make up over $500 bn. And these are the funds that will be necessary to rebuild our country - both at the expense of the repatriations from the Russian Federation and the funds from our international partners - so that Ukraine would rebuild and become the same it was before the war,” Interfax Ukraine cites the head of the government.

On March 15, the head of the government of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński, and the heads of the governments of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, and Slovenia, Janez Janša, arrived in Kyiv. They had a meeting with the Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal. The talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are also planned.
