On Friday, March 11, the European Union has provided Ukraine with the first 300m euros of the emergency macro-financial assistance from the 1.2bn euros package, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced.
“Putin’s war exerts brutal military and economic pressure on the brave people of Ukraine. Europe stands firmly by their side. Today we disbursed €300 million in emergency macro-financial assistance,” she wrote on Twitter in Ukrainian.

In a week, Ukraine has received 1.4bn dollars from the IMF and 711.8m euros from the international partners, “Finclub” reports.
In particular, Ukraine received:
300m euros under the EU macro-financial assistance program (from the first tranche of 600m euros);
- 311.8m euros development policy financing “Supplement Loan for Second Economic Recovery Development Policy Loan” from the World Bank (from the program on 440m euros);
- 100m euros from the European Investment Bank under the 668m euros Solidarity Package for Ukraine.
Next week Ukraine is supposed to receive 300m euros as the second part of the tranche of the macro-financial assistance of the EU.
