It is technically impossible to connect the power system of the Zaporizhzhia NPP to the Russian-occupied Crimea. And even if the enemy has such plans, they are completely invalid. This was announced by Volodymyr Kudrytskyiy, Chairman of the Board of the company “Ukrenergo”.

Connecting something to the Crimea, in particular Zaporizhzhia NPP, is technically a story from the category of launching spacecraft into space with a catapult. There is no such line as Zaporizhzhia NPP – the Crimea, i.e. they are not directly connected by network infrastructure. Supplying anything to the Crimea from Zaporizhzhia NPP was technically impossible before synchronization (with the European power grid. - Ed.) , and now, after our synchronization (with ENTSO-E. - Ed.), it is even more impossible, " – Kudrytskyy said.

Since March 3 Zaporizhzhia NPP and its satellite city Energodar are under control of occupiers. As of March 10, there were 50 units of heavy equipment, about 400 Russian military, many explosives and weapons on the territory of the NPP. On March 14, the Russian military began "disposing" of ammunition on the plant's premises, directly opposite Unit 1.

In addition, on March 16, as a result of enemy shelling, the high-voltage transmission line 750 kV Zaporizhzhia NPP - Kakhovska, through which electricity is supplied from the Zaporizhzhia NPP, was damaged. Thus, out of the four high-voltage lines, only one remained operational.
