During the war, the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine focused its work primarily on identifying and determining economic entities where the ultimate beneficiaries are residents of Russia and Belarus, as well as detection of the assets of these countries, and shutting down those enterprises that engage in illegal trade with Russia and Belarus, including contraband goods.
This was reported on the website of the bureau.
"According to the results of inspections of enterprises transporting fuels and lubricants in Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region, the bureau workers detected the property of one of the enterprises of the Russian Federation. This is about 29 tank wagons for transportation of liquefied gas worth 1,160,000m dollars (more than 35m hryvnyas in equivalent). This information was sent to the State Property Fund of Ukraine and Ukrzaliznytsia [Ukrainian railways]," the statement said.
Currently, at the initiative of the Bureau of Economic Security, the procedure of nationalization of this property is underway.
In addition, in Ivano-Frankivsk, the Bureau staff found 2 railway cars, which also delivered goods from the Russian Federation to one of the enterprises. The cars are currently at one of the stations of the Lviv Railway. After the owner is confirmed, the issue of their forced removal will be initiated.
