The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has released an audio recording of a conversation between a Russian occupier and his wife. It follows that, among other things, the Russian military hoped to return home on 25 March 2022.
"The dreams of the Russian invaders are shattered as quickly as the myths about the invincible army of “liberators”. Yes, the occupiers hoped to return home on 25th March. At least they were promised so. And today their only hope for salvation is that they will reach the end of their tour," the SSU said.
"Honestly, we were already on the move today, we hoped that we would be allowed to leave, but we stopped by Bandera [village] and we’re still here," the occupier said in a conversation intercepted by the SSU.
Putin's soldier admits that the invaders are simply fleeing under the constant fire of our [Ukrainian] defenders. The occupiers even recently abandoned their commanders, then searched for them, but they were "most likely captured or killed."
The Russian military also tells about the ensign who lost his mind, so they had to take away his weapon. That is why desertion is a common thing. Some of the occupiers have already fled to the Crimea. "But they are alive," the wife replies.
