According to the Minister Delegate for Housing Emmanuelle Wargon, the number of Ukrainian refugees who arrived in France reached about 30 thousand people, CNN reports.
Speaking on the French TV Company Franceinfo on Sunday, Wargon said that about half of the refugees were traveling through France to Spain and Portugal, but France was preparing to accept more refugees.
"Our goal is to accommodate about 100,000 people as soon as possible," Wargon said.
Earlier, the German federal police said that more than 266,000 Ukrainian refugees were registered in Germany, who left their homes in search of foreign refuge as a result of the Russian invasion.
