Russia focused on entering the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and maintaining control over the temporarily occupied territories. At the same time, it continues to augment forces around Kyiv.

The military commissariats continue to recruit Russians to the so-called volunteer units, which will be involved in the occupation "order" in the captured territories. Among the requirements for candidates is a satisfactory state of health. Military experience and lack of criminal record are not compulsory, reported the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Despite the statements of officials of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Russian Federation to change plans and priorities, the enemy continues to augment the forces around the capital. Russian forces continue unsuccessful attempts to take positions from which it would be possible to attack or surround Kyiv," - said the General Staff.

The defenders continue to defend Mariupol. The occupiers took heavy losses in this direction, and the resistance of the defenders inhibits the development of their offensive in other directions.

Kherson continues to resist the occupation, so the enemy is forced to increasingly concentrate the forces of the Russian military and the Russian Guard to keep the city under its control.

"About 150 people were transferred from southern Ossetia to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea for their further actions in the neighboring regions of Ukraine. Also, measures to secretly mobilize the population of so-called South Ossetia were recorded in order to further its involvement in the war with Ukraine," - said the message.

The General Staff believes that bringing the enterprises of the Russian defense-industrial complex for the production of missiles to the round-the-clock mode of operation indicates a significant decrease in the arsenal of missile weapons. However, due to sanctions imposing a ban on the importation of high-tech products into Russia, the Russian Federation will have to make import substitutions and independently manufacture electronic equipment, which is an important component of the technological process of missile manufacturing. There is no near prospect that it can do it.

Earlier, Russia's losses as of the morning of March 28 amounted to more than 17,000 people, 586 tanks, and 123 aircrafts. At the same time, the enemy continues to augment forces and conducts hidden mobilization, gaining even prisoners.
