The prosecutor's office will give a legal assessment of each deputy at all levels for collaboration.
The First Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Kornienko stated this in an interview with LB.ua.
Investigative actions, suspicions, and precautionary measures against those people's deputies who "disappeared" during the war and left Ukraine are also possible.
"I do not have such a list. I can't voice it. There is information about several deputies who simply disappeared [Kornienko said earlier that more than 20 deputies left Ukraine. And most of them are those who work in the diplomatic field]. I will not name names. Because, perhaps, this is the secret of the investigation. As for sanctions, our Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova clarified everything. There are actions with a corpus delicti. For example, this is the evasion of conscription. If deputies - conscripts left Ukraine after the announcement of mobilization, it is a crime. Or if they facilitated the departure of someone else. If they left the country before the conscription was announced or were older than the conscription age, it is more of a moral component of such an act," the vice-speaker stressed.
The third option, according to him, is when a deputy of the Rada or at the local level can take part in a case of collaboration.
"We have adopted a law amending some legislative acts to ensure the responsibility of persons who carried out collaborative activities (Reg. № 5143). And a law amending some legislative acts to establish criminal liability for collaborative activities (Reg. № 5144) ... I think that in each case the Prosecutor's Office will give a legal assessment, possible investigative actions, suspicions and precautionary measures ... We are not a judicial branch of power. There are those who simply "now and here" communicate with the occupier. This is exactly a former deputy Ilya Kiva, whom I already completely disrespect... I can say for sure that these will be politicians, current deputies of local councils, who are on the enemy's side, follow their instructions and communicate with him. We saw it in Kherson (Volodymyr Saldo Bloc), in Berdyansk. In some other cities, there are also such representatives," he said.
Kornienko assured that "we will seriously engage in all retrospective investigations after Ukraine's victory."
"To answer the question of society: how did it happen? And in general, in addition, there are many other questions. In particular, how certain things were prepared in advance. Because it can't be like that when the Russian army comes, and the next day the deputy of the local council is ready for everything, knows everything and knows how," said the first deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.
