EU Advisory Mission says that Russians shelled its Mariupol office

The statement was released by the EU foreign affairs and security chief Josep Borrell on 29 March.

"The EUAM has obtained credible information that the premises of its Mariupol Field Office were recently hit by Russian shelling. The office and equipment of the EUAM sustained major damage. Neither members of the Mission nor contractors were hurt," said Borrell.

"We strongly condemn these attacks and all other attacks against civilians and infrastructure. We demand Russia to cease its military offensive immediately and unconditionally withdraw all forces and military equipment from the entire territory of Ukraine, according to the resolutions of the UN General Assembly and the judgment of the International Court," added EUAM.

As of 28 March, almost five thousand people died in Mariupol under Russian siege; 90% of the high-rise buildings were destroyed.
