Russian troops begin to leave the Chornobyl nuclear power plant (CNPP).

AFP reports this news with reference to the Pentagon.

Details are currently unknown.

Russians took over CNPP. Russian troops continue to militarize the exclusion zone. In particular, they set up positions in a highly toxic area called the Red Forest and raised clouds of radioactive dust there. The Ukrainian General Staff has repeatedly warned of the threat of self-detonation of ammunition as russia has set up a vast warehouse of ammo near the CNPP. Therefore, Russia must immediately withdraw its troops from the Chornobyl zone.

Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko called the russian federation a nuclear terrorist.

Reuters managed to talk to employees of the nuclear power plant, which the Russians took over. They said no radiation equipment had been used in the Russian military column. Another station employee added that it was a "suicide" for the occupiers because the radioactive dust they inhaled could cause internal radiation.

The area around Chornobyl is closed to everyone, except for CNPP employees and those with special permits. The Red Forest is considered so polluted that even the workers of the nuclear power plant are not allowed there.

Today, buses with Russian militaries, probably irradiated in the Chornobyl exclusion zone, are arriving at the Belarusian Radiation Medicine Center in Homel.
