Lithuanian Charitable Foundation “Food for Ukraine” has delivered 28 trucks of food to Kyiv to support socially vulnerable groups.

This was reported by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Maryna Khonda.

According to her, this foundation from the first day of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on its own initiative delivers products for vulnerable Kyiv citizens and persons who find themselves in difficult life circumstances. It's been a month now, in cooperation with the Red Cross Society of Ukraine and the Novus Food for Ukraine trade network, it provides food to territorial social service centers in Kyiv, whose employees already directly provide for those who need help.

Neriius Udrenas, the Head of “Food for Ukraine” Foundation, noted that this humanitarian aid is the result of not only business but also ordinary citizens of Lithuania.

"According to our data, more than half of Lithuanians have already contributed to help the Ukrainian people. The “Food for Ukraine” Foundation unites businesses and people to help Ukraine to survive together. We have already been able to collect and deliver 560 tons of products worth more than 650 thousand euros. We also appealed to business partners to continue humanitarian aid and not stop doing it. It is now that we must show all humanity and support, to stand with Ukraine in difficult times," - said Neriius Udrenas.

Earlier today, the KSCA showed photos of grocery warehouses near Brovary, which were burned due to shelling. Rescuers for more than a week removed the wreckage.
