The occupiers, who captured the Chornobyl nuclear power plant and other facilities in the Exclusion Zone on the first day of the war, marched in two columns towards the Ukrainian border with the Republic of Belarus.
Currently, a small number of Russian soldiers still remain at the station, NNEGC Energoatom reported.
This morning, the invaders announced their intentions to leave the Chernobyl nuclear power plant to Ukrainian personnel.
Energoatom notes that the information about fortifications and trenches that the Russian military was building directly in the Red Forest, the most polluted in the entire Exclusion Zone, has also been confirmed.
"So it is not surprising that the occupiers received significant doses of radiation and panicked at the first signs of the [radiation] sickness. And it manifested itself very quickly.
There is also evidence that Russian troops, who besieged the town of Slavutych, are currently forming a column to move towards Belarus.
Finally confirming the intention to leave the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, the occupiers drew up and signed the "Act of Deed-Acceptance and transfer of protection of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant."
The photo of the document was published by Energoatom. In the document it is stated that "there are no claims from the administration of the protected object against the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation."
"It turns out that the occupiers have been "guarding" the station for more than five weeks, and did it so well that there are no complaints. It seems they expect us to be thankful...", the Ukrainian energy company commented.
Earlier Pentagon announced that the Russian troops are starting to leave the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
Last night it became known that buses with Russian soldiers, probably irradiated in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, were arriving at the Belarusian Radiation Medicine Center in Gomel.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs named two reasons for withdrawing part of Russian troops from the territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. First is rotation. And the second reason is the real irradiation of some of the military staff.
