President of Latvia, Egils Levits, had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Latvia, Krišjānis Kariņš, during which they discussed the matter of increasing military support to Ukraine. The country’s leaders called on NATO to provide more weapons to Ukraine to stop Russia’s aggression, the Ukrainian Embassy in Latvia reports.
The President of Latvia stated that “Latvia has provided very significant support to Ukraine. Within NATO, this military assistance needs to be increased, which is the key to a successful ending of the war."
The Prime Minister of Latvia said that “Ukraine has to win this war. And it is very important that we help them with it. We have to stop Russia as an aggressor.”
As reported, Latvia and Ukraine will cooperate in investigating the crimes connected to Russia’s invasion.
Earlier today, the Secretary-General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, said that Russia is not withdrawing but regrouping its forces in Ukraine to strengthen and rearm them for the Donbas offensive. He promised that NATO allies would supply Ukraine with weapons as long as needed.
