There are no occupiers in Slavutych now, - mayor

Slavutych remains under Ukrainian flag - there are no occupiers in the city at the moment. Mayor of the city Yuriy Fomichev reported about it in video message.

"They did the job they wanted to do - they checked the city. Today [March 27] they have finished it and left. They are not in the city," Fomichev said.

The official denied the allegations that local authorities were cooperating with occupiers and asked them for humanitarian aid.

«We are not cooperating with the occupiers. They have done what they wanted to do. They checked the city, today they have finished doing it and left the city. They are not in the city now. We solve all our problems in our own. We don't need their humanitarian aid, we have enough of everything. All cities and towns of Ukraine are helping us,» Fomichev said.

Occupiers came to Slavutych on March 26. They have captured hospital and abducted the mayor. People went to a mass demonstration which was dispersed by gunfire. The mayor was released soon and occupiers left the city. Mayor of Slavutych reported about it in interview to LB.ua. According to him, the situation in the city is under control.
