The Verkhovna Rada passed Bills №№7190 and 3793 which exempt imports from customs duties and must stimulate Ukrainian exports during the war.
This was announced by the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev.
"Draft law N7190 means, first of all, that imports have been exempted from duties and goods imported by enterprises from VAT, as well as vehicles imported by citizens have been exempted from customs duties," Hetmantsev said.
He added that the law offers additional tax benefits for businesses during martial law and state of emergency. This is about exemption from payment of the tax on residential and non-residential property which is located in territories of military activities.
According to the chairman of the Finance Committee, the Law №3793 "On Ensuring Large-scale Expansion of Exports of Goods (Works, Services) of Ukrainian Origin through Insurance, Guarantee and Cheaper Export Credit" should provide an incentive for Ukrainian exports.
The Government has simplified the procedure for importing construction goods from the EU - now it is enough to have only a manufacturer's declaration.
Ukraine has also simplified requirements for food imports.
On 18 March, the Cabinet adopted a resolution about simplifying all customs procedures as much as possible.
