The interlocutors discussed the development of events in and around Ukraine, including the course of Ukrainian-Russian negotiations in Istanbul and further measures taken by the West to deter the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The conversation between Biden and European leaders took place two days after his return from a tour of Europe. Western media point out that thanks to the efforts of the U.S. President, "the unity of the West's position in Ukraine has strengthened."
Earlier, today negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian sides took place, and they will continue this week. Representatives of the country - aggressors said that Russian forces may stop a massive offensive in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, now the Russian Federation really withdraws some units from the territory of Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, but regroups them to focus their main efforts on Slobozhansk and Donetsk directions.
According to a member of the Ukrainian delegation Davyd Arahamiia, the parties worked on the format of the concept of the security agreement proposed by Kyiv.
