Over the 40 days of russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, russians killed 89 civilians in Kyiv, including 4 children; 398 people were wounded, including 20 children, - as reported by the Kyiv City Council. The City Council also keeps track of the buildings and infrastructure units damaged by air attacks.
Since 24 February, 167 residential houses, 44 schools, 26 kindergartens and 1 orphanage were damaged by russian shelling.
"11 administrative buildings were also damaged. The scope of damage varies from small to almost complete destruction", - the Kyiv City State Administration said.
In addition, 2 sports facilities, 5 social facilities, 17 health facilities, 10 cultural facilities, and 48 transport infrastructure facilities were destroyed.
"The City Council urges Kyiv residents not to lose vigilance and get to the nearest bomb shelter immediately once the air raid siren is on. It is less dangerous in Kyiv today, but the threat of air attacks is still there. Those residents who fled the capital shall not move back for the time being", - the Kyiv City Council urged.
Yesterday, 5 April, explosions were heard in Kyiv, the territory is still contaminated with unexploded russian shells and bombs. Kyiv continues to operate under daily threat of missile attack.
