Rescue workers started finding the first perished under debris in Borodyanka near Kyiv, reports head of Kyiv Humanitarian Staff Oleksiy Kuleba.
Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Herashchenko specified that dismantling buildings that were ruined by russian aviation started yesterday in Borodyanka.
“Around ten houses are ruined, there are still ukrainians under debris. Four dead are found under ruins and this is just the beginning,” told Herashchenko during a briefing in the Ukraine Media Center.
According to Herashchenko, the rubbles of 5 storey buildings are cleared only till 3rd floor. But people hid from bombs in the basements.
“Around 200 people are missing and we understand that a lot of them are gone forever,” said Herashchenko.
Herashchenko added that at the moment more than 400 civilians are reportedly murdered in Kyiv region and the number will go up.
Yesterday the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskyi claimed that a lot of people could have been saved from debris in Borodyanka if it wasn’t for russian shelling.
