On Thursday, April 7, two teams of the Red Cross Emergency Division visited the villages in the Kyiv region liberated from the Russian occupiers. Their route totaled 400 km, which took more than 12 hours.
Residents of the villages of Velykyi Lis, Koblytsia, Leonivka, Kolentsi, Blidcha, Szpyli, Rakitna Sloboda, Stavrovka, Rozvazhiv, Starovychi, Olyva, Sloboda Kuharska, Kukhari, etc. have been under occupation for more than a month. They had no chance to evacuate from there.
As the correspondent of LB.ua informed, the people were brought the most necessary things: from bread to hygiene products. They did not receive all this from the first days of the war.
In total, 300 family food kits, 500 loaves of fresh bread from the Kyivkhlib bakery, hygiene products and basic necessities were distributed yesterday.
“To get to the most remote corners of Kyiv region, we even had to cross rivers and streams by wading. But thanks to the "Heart of Prague" (a car donated to Ukrainians by the Czech Red Cross - ed.) we overcame all barriers ", - Max Trebukhov, the photographer of LB.ua told.
People, whom our correspondent managed to communicate with, told that the Russians robbed shops, occupied houses and schools. The occupiers searched the villages and forests for non-existent military bases and drank constantly.
The correspondent added that it would continue to be difficult to deliver humanitarian aid to these villages. It is unknown how long it will take to restore the bridges blown up by the occupiers in this area.
In addition, fields and forests in this part of Kyiv region are littered with mines. Therefore, there can be no talk of sowing there at the moment.
