Occupiers illegally arrest Ukrainians in the Kherson region and Melitopol and then send them to detention centers in Crimea. Civilians are brutally tortured there.
The national leader of Crimean Tatars Mustafa Jemilev stated that on TV, as UNIAN informs.
"There are reports from Crimea that [russian authorities – tr.] freed up detention centers and transported a lot of prisoners. Not the detention centers are being filled by those arrested in the occupied districts of the Kherson region and in Melitopol", – Jemilev reported.
The Crimean Tatars' leader said that the prisoners who were left in those centers were prohibited from interacting with the Ukrainian captives. No one is allowed to see the illegally arrested citizens.
Russian occupiers kidnapped the former head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Andriy Putilov on 9 April.
On 7 April, occupiers stole all the humanitarian cargo for Melitopol together with the trucks. The cargo contained medicine for people with severe diseases, food, and hygiene products.
