In Mariupol, part of the 36th Naval Infantry Brigade was taken prisoners of war by the russian occupiers during an attempt to break through. As "Liga" informs the Adviser to the Head of the President's Office, Oleksiy Arestovych reported this information.
"I must say that russians took prisoners of war a part of the 36th Naval Infantry Brigade in their attempt to break through," - said Arestovych. However, he clarified that this is not a thousand people that the russians announced but "much, much less."
"Some went to join Azov, and some went to break through in another place because they were separated and made decisions based on the situation. And the part that went alone ... well, not alone, but in another direction ... they came under artillery and airstrikes, lost many people, and were taken prisoners of war during the battle," - said the Adviser to the Head of the President's Office.
Yesterday, units of the 36th Naval Infantry Brigade n.a. contraadmiral Mykhailo Bilinskyi broke through to join the regiment "Azov."
