Danilov spoke about the Ukrainian missile program and critical projects - "Vilkha" and "Neptun"

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), Oleksiy Danilov, talked about the situation with the missile state program, as well as critical projects "Vilkha" /"Alder" and "Neptun."

On his Facebook, Danilov wrote that the Ukrainian missile program "did not stop even for one day, but some people pretend that after 2019, "everything has vanished," and this is a complete lie."

Given the well-known "Moscow flagship" events, it is necessary to say a few words about our missile program, as there were too many people involved in "Vilkha" /"Alder" and "Neptun" projects in the past, and there is not enough truth about the present. The truth is that without the will of President Zelenskyy, we would not have weapons that can send "warm greetings" to the racists [rassian+fascist], and not only to the" Russian warship", - emphasized the Secretary of the NSDC.

Danilov said that at the beginning of July 2019, Zelenskyy ordered the development of a missile program for the period up to 2030. We completed research on the key projects "Vilkha" /"Alder" and "Neptun" during this period.

"The effective range has been increased, and "Vilkhas"/"Alders" and "Neptuns" have been fielded. A single model of cooperation for the manufacturers of these projects has been formed, and the creation of additional manufacturing facilities has been initiated," - Danilov said.

He added that during 2019 and 2020, the State Enterprise (SE) "State Kyiv Construction Bureau "Luch" conducted successful missile tests of the modernized "Vilkha"/"Alder-M" jet system with an increased damage range at the test site in the Odesa region.

In April 2020, a complex of surface-to-air cruise missiles, known as "Neptun," was tested at the "Alibey" test site. As a result, the missiles hit all surface targets," - Danilov said.

"In December 2021, SE "State Kyiv Construction Bureau "Luch" conducted fire tests of the RK-10 universal anti-aircraft missiles, which are to be deployed on the ground, sea, and air platforms," - the Secretary of the NSDC added.

Last August, the NSDC decided on missile weapons development by 2031. The costs of this program are to exceed 200bn hryvnias.Russian missile cruiser "Moskva" was hit by "Neptun" anti-ship cruise missiles on 13 April 2022.

In March 2021, it became known that the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received prototypes of the coastal mobile missile system with anti-ship cruise missiles RK-360MC "Neptun."
