Russian troops raked two buses that were to evacuate people from Starobilsk to Dnipro with fire, killing and wounding civilians, said the Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova on Facebook. The date of shelling is not reported.

"During the evacuation of residents from the city of Starobilsk, Luhansk region to Dnipro, the russians fired on two buses, killing and wounding civilians. More detailed information is being established,” she wrote.

Denisova noted that the russians once again used weapons to prevent the evacuation of civilians to the territories controlled by Ukraine.

Yesterday, the russian military fired on evacuation buses in the village of Borova, Kharkiv region. As many as seven civilians were killed and 27 were wounded.

This is not the first time the russians have fired on peaceful Ukrainians who want to evacuate. A missile strike at Kramatorsk station which killed 57 people occurred a week ago. There were mainly women, children, and the elderly people at the station.

Despite the threat of shelling, the authorities are urging Ukrainians to evacuate from Luhansk and Donetsk regions while there is the possibility to do so. The russian army is preparing an escalation there and it may not be possible for civilians to leave. Almost 3,000 Ukrainians have left today.
