The President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is confident that the destruction of Ukrainian defenders in Mariupol will put an end to negotiations with russia.
Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with Ukrainian media, Lb.ua reports.
The President commented on the negotiations with russia, which have reached a dead end after the tragedies in Bucha and Borodyanka.
"Mariupol can be like ten Borodyankas, and I want to say that destruction of our militaries will put an end to all negotiations. This is a dead end because we do not trade territories and our people. And the more Borodyankas there will be, the harder it will be." he said.
Zelenskyy also said that negotiations are underway to help Ukrainian defenders in Mariupol, but the russians demanded that they surrender.
Deputies of the Opposition Platform — For Life local faction are involved in disrupting the evacuation of civilians from Mariupol. They helped the occupiers to destroy all vehicles aimed to save people.
On April 18, russian troops want to close Mariupol to entry and exit, and forbid civilians to get around for a week, in order to filter all men.
