The Russians disrupted the evacuation from Lysychansk, 42 people were rescued from Severodonetsk. In total, more than 70 civilians were evacuated from Luhansk Oblast on Saturday, 16 April.
The head of RMA Serhiy Haidai announced this.
He said that during the "silence regime" the Russian army opened fire on the center of Lysychansk.
"Of course, the locals decided to stay in the basements at this time. The evacuation was actually disrupted because only one person was taken out," said the head of the Luhansk RMA.
Haidai said that another 42 residents of Severodonetsk, 11 of Rubizhne and 14 of Kreminna were secured today. Six people left Popasna.
"By the way, in the new meeting place at 1a Shcherbakova Street, a shelter has been organized in case of shelling and meals," he added.
Russian troops were again shelling the Lysychansk oil refinery and were hitting residential areas.
