Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy underlined that the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions became the main target of the russian aggression for 50 days of the war russia started against Ukraine.
He said that in his video appeal at night on 15 April 2022.
“That is Donbas russia considers the main target. That is Donbas russia wants to annihilate first of all. That is Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts the russian troops are destroying in such a way like they want only stones to remain after them and no people at all… They are destroying the towns and villages of Donbas. They are burning down everything that could stand those eight years of the war,” he said.
Another target of the rf is Kharkiv.
“Proud and neat Kharkiv have not seen such tortures the russia brought for 80 years. Why destroy it? What achieve, burning it down? What will russia get from ruins at Saltivka and on Ploshcha Svobody (Freedom Square),” added the President.
