The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that they were recording signs of the beginning of an offensive operation in the Eastern Operational Zone.
According to the Ukrainian command, russia has intensified offensive and assault operations in the Slobozhansky and Donetsk operational districts, as well as in the Severodonetsk, Popasnyansky, Kurakhiv and Zaporizhzhya areas. In the Donetsk and Tavriya directions, the occupying forces are trying to capture the Lyman, Kreminna, Popasna and Rubizhne, and also want to establish full control over Mariupol.
According to the General Staff, by 24 April the russian federation must form additional units in the Rostov region and in the temporarily occupied Crimea, which will protect administrative buildings and important infrastructure in the occupied Ukrainian territories.
Not far from the state border with Ukraine in the Belgorod region, the invaders began to deploy helipads. The General Staff does not rule out provocations by the russian federation and its use of army aircraft in areas bordering Ukraine for shelling civilians
Situation in other areas:
in Volyn, Polissya and Seversky - without significant changes in the activities of enemy troops.
in Slobozhanskyi, separate units of the 6th all-military army of the Western military district, the coastal troops of the Baltic and Northern fleets, continue to partially block Kharkiv and destroy residential areas of the city with artillery fire.
in Izium, the aggressor operates in separate units of the 1st panzer army, the 20th all-army of the Western military district, the 35th and 68th all-army of the Eastern military district and the airborne forces. The General Staff expects the offensive attempts to continue in the Izyum-Slovyansk and Izyum-Barvinkove directions.
in Pivdennobuzhsky, some units of the occupiers continue to hold the occupied frontiers and fire on the positions of the Armed Forces. Russia also continues to try to establish full control over the territory of the Kherson region. Russian army is fighting in the area of the village of Alexandrovka, it has no success.
Russian ships in the Black and Azov Seas continue to isolate the sea coast of Ukraine, as well as conduct reconnaissance.
"In the occupied territories, the enemy steals and takes out equipment, machinery and products of local enterprises to the russian federation, mines agricultural fields," said the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
