Russian occupiers persuade Mariupol residents to “cooperate”, promising compensation in rubles for their destroyed housing.

That was reported by the CCD (Center for Countering Disinformation) at the NSDC (National Security and Defense Council) of Ukraine.

The russian propaganda media report about “queues of thousands” for compensation. Although in the photos there are “no more than 20 people near some building with occupant symbols”, as noted by the CCD.

“In this way, the enemy is trying to conduct a ruble occupation of temporarily occupied territories to isolate the population in the future, following the example of the ORDLO. Do not cooperate with the occupiers. Compensation is paid only to those who receive fake documents from the occupants. The next step will be a forced renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship,” CCD stressed.

Today Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk appealed to the military and political leadership of russia because of the escalating situation in Mariupol, calling for a humanitarian corridor to evacuate civilians.

According to local authorities, as a result of russian shelling, 90 percent of Mariupol's critical infrastructure was damaged and 40 percent cannot be repaired.
