6 million people in Ukraine are struggling every day to have drinking water due to the war. This was reported by UNICEF Ukraine.

More than a month of intense hostilities devastated water and electricity networks, leaving over 4.6 million people with limited access to water, the statement said.

“In total, over 6 million people in Ukraine are struggling every day to have drinking water, one of the most essential human needs”, UNICEF said.

As previously reported, the catastrophic situation with water remains in Mariupol, surrounded by russians. The same with food, heat, and medicine, the city is in a humanitarian catastrophe.

Also as a result of military operations the Dnipro - Mykolayiv water supply system, to which water is delivered from the Dnipro river to Mykolayiv, is damaged. Measures to restore water supply are going on. Neighboring regions also organized water supply to Mykolayiv.
