The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, did not hold telephone conversations with the President of eussia, Volodymyr Putin after it became known about the atrocities of the russians in Bucha of the Kyiv region.

Interfax-Ukraine reports that he told about it on air on France 5 TV channel.

"I haven't spoken to him directly since then," Macron said.

However, he did not rule out that such conversations would occur in the future. According to him, "Europe and, in particular, France, as a member of the UN Security Council and a powerful state, must hold a dialogue (with the President of the russian federation - ed.)."

Macron also said he would come to Kyiv "when he can be useful."

Besides, the President of France refused to define a "red line" for Russia in the war against Ukraine. BFM TV reports that according to Macron, such a statement could make Paris a party to the armed conflict.

"It needs to be calculated; it's a responsibility that we are not willing to take," Macron said.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, invited Macron to visit Ukraine so that the President of France could see the atrocities of the russian military and understand that this was not just a war but a genocide of the Ukrainian nation.

Macron, who received the most support in the first round of the new presidential election, refused to call russia's actions in the war against Ukraine genocide and called the russians and the Ukrainians brothers. At the same time, the presidents of Poland and the United States are convinced that President Putin is deliberately destroying the Ukrainian nation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine answered Macron, saying that Ukraine and Russia were close due to historical circumstances, but the "brotherhood of nations" is fiction. "Ukraine and russia are historically close due to objective reasons, but the myth of the two related nations of russia and Ukraine began to crumble after the occupation of Crimea and aggression in Donbas in 2014. Furthermore, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleh Nikolenko, emphasized that after mass crimes and murders committed by the russian military in Ukraine, no one has a moral right to talk about "brotherhood."
