European Council President Charles Michel visited Borodyanka in the Kyiv region, which was liberated from the occupiers on April 1.

“In Borodyanka. Like Bucha and too many other towns in Ukraine. History will not forget the war crimes that have been committed here. There can be no peace without justice." he said.
Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanishyna arrived in the city together with the head of the European Council.
Charles Michel arrived in Kyiv today.
Borodyanka village became one of those that happened on the way of the russian army to the capital. The enemy entered there on February 27 and remained there until April 1. According to the Minister of Regional Development Oleksiy Chernyshov, two thirds of high-rise buildings were damaged or destroyed by the enemies. Eight apartment buildings are being dismantled – they cannot be restored.
The exact number of the dead killed by the enemy is still unknown – the rescuers continue to dismantle the blockages. As of April 17, rescuers found the bodies of 41 people.
