If the West provides Ukraine with the weapons it needs and imposes a global embargo on russian oil and gas, the russian invaders will disappear from Ukraine within months. Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov wrote about this in a column for The Wall Street Journal.
"First of all, we need heavy weapons to defend and liberate the russian-occupied territories. I know that these weapons can be obtained quickly from different countries. All you need is the desire to do it. If you give us these weapons, you will show the world that you are not afraid to resist evil. We also need a full global embargo on russian oil and gas. We need real sanctions against russia's banking system and trade. If you give us all this, the russian invaders will disappear from Ukraine in a few months."
At the same time, the head of the Defense Ministry noted that if this is not done, the war waged by russia will drag on. Reznikov emphasized that hostilities could spread to other countries.
"If you do not do this, the war will drag on, and the terrorist state of russia will destroy the reputation of world leaders and encourage other villains to test their strength. The flames of war could spread to other countries at any moment because Vladimir Putin will not stop in Ukraine," he said.
