Danilov says Kremlin planned to create concentration camps for Ukrainians in Siberia

The russian leadership had plans to deport a large number of Ukrainians to concentration camps in the western Siberia to force them to build new russians cities.

This was announced by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda.

He pointed out that on September 6, 2021, Shoigu's article entitled "On New Cities of Siberia" was published.

"Few people paid attention to this publication, but we pay attention to such things. After reading it carefully, we understood that the desire at the expense of our citizens, our country, to build Siberia, as it happened many times, will never disappear", - the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council noted.

Shoigu directly announced this plan - to build from 3 to 5 large cities with a population from 300 thousand to one million.

“All the reports provided to us by the intelligence of our partners were about concentration camps, filtration camps, as well as the physical destruction of the president and the senior political leadership in the first place," Danilov explained.

According to the official, in the article Shoigu hinted that Ukrainians had to work in forced labor. The russian minister wrote that citizens from the Commonwealth of Independent States should be involved in the work.

However, Danilov insists, the citizens of other CIS countries did not have so many physically fit citizens to carry out such a large-scale project to build new cities.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that russian occupation forces had already deported more than 500,000 Ukrainian citizens.

According to Western media reports, illegally deported Ukrainians are indeed being sent to the most remote and unfavorable regions of the russian federation. They are exported to Siberia, Chechnya, the Far East, and the North Caucasus.
