The US Navy will not take part in military operations in the Black Sea to unblock Ukrainian ports blocked by the russians. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby stated this during a briefing.
"If you ask if the US Navy is going to take part in operations in the Black Sea, the answer is no ... It's just another indication of the brutality with which the russians are waging this war. We continue to condemn it," - he said.
Kirby noted that the russians continue to hinder the export of food from the ports of Odesa and Mariupol.
Earlier, David Beasley, Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Program, said that blocking Ukraine's southern ports in the Black Sea could provoke a global food catastrophe that would lead to starvation, mass migration, and political instability.
