Occupiers could have used tear gas mixed with chemicals in Mariupol - US
Michael Carpenter

Russian troops could have used tear gas mixed with chemicals during the storming of Mariupol. This was stated by the US Permanent Representative to the OSCE Michael Carpenter during a special meeting of the Permanent Council of this organization in Vienna, Ukrinform reports.

"We are currently investigating reports that Russian troops used chemicals during the attack on Mariupol. There is credible information that Russian troops may have used various means to counter the riots, including tear gas mixed with chemicals that could cause stronger symptoms to weaken and disable Ukrainian fighters and civilians as part of its aggressive campaign to capture Mariupol,” he said.

He noted that such a scenario had worried the American side for a long time, and they have repeatedly warned the world. "Now, we must urgently gather evidence to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice for what could well be another war crime in Ukraine."

On April 11, the “Azov” regiment reported that Russian occupiers used poisonous substances of unknown origin against the Ukrainian military and civilians in Mariupol.

Russians dropped the substance from their drone.
