As a result of sanctions implemented on russia due to its invasion of Ukraine, the russian factories have faced a shortage of buttons and paper. UNIAN reported this with reference to the statement of the Head of the Central Bank of russia, Elvira Nabiullina.

She claims that many garment factories in russia have begun to face difficulties, and buttons have become scarce for russians.

The factories that cannot buy accessories abroad are trying to find new suppliers. But, as Nabiullina noted, the issue of "logistics restructuring" could take several months.

Besides, russians may run out of paper. According to Nabiullina, russian wood was used to produce paper. However, its manufacturing is impossible without foreign bleaching chemicals.

"Now the manufacturers are switching to alternative suppliers, developing their own chemicals, but it also takes time," - said the Head of the Central Bank.

Essity, which owns brands Zewa, Libresse, and Libero, announced its withdrawal from the russian market yesterday.
