Adviser to the Head of the Ukrainian Office of the President Oleksiy Arestovych believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will carry out a counterattack on Mariupol. He said this while on air with Mark Feygin.
According to him, Mariupol is in the deep rear of the enemy, but there is hope for the liberation of the city.
“There will be a counterattack, I am 101% sure. The only question is when and by what forces. This will be decided by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces ... If you think that Zaluzhnyy wants to surrender Mariupol, you are very wrong," remarked the adviser.
According to him, very intense work is being done regarding this issue.
"We don't need dead heroes, we need everyone alive to the last man. And those who are not alive are buried with military honors as people who performed an incredible feat. And we do everything to get them out of there by all means. But there is an objective reality," he stated.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the enemy continues to launch air strikes on Mariupol and block Ukrainian units in the Azovstal area.
