The place where the rights of the russian-speaking population are really diminished is the territory of Russia itself.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, spoke about this in a daily video address.
He mentioned that with reference to the Russian military, the news was spread that their task now is to establish control over the south of Ukraine and reach the border with Moldova. As if, in Moldova, the rights of the russian-speaking population are violated.
"But, to be honest, the territory where russia should take care of the rights of the russian-speaking population is in russia itself. It is a place where there is no freedom of speech; there is no freedom of choice. There is simply no right to have an opinion. It is a place where poverty thrives, and human life is worth nothing. It is so worthless that they are coming to us, going to war to steal at least something that resembles a normal life," - he said.
