"Stinky bastards," Ukrainian president responds to russian shelling of Odesa

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded sharply to today's russian missile attack on Odesa. The Head of State said that the number of casualties reached eight according to the latest data.

Zelenskyy answered a question from a Turkish journalist in russian and called the russian perpetrators of the shelling "stinky bastards."

"Seven rockets flew to Odessa today; we shot down two, a multi-storey building was hit, eight people died, 18 or 20 were wounded, a three-month-old child died. When the war began, this child was one month old. (among the dead, there is a three-month-old baby) Can you imagine what is happening? Stinky bastards. What else can one call them? There are no other words! Just bastards,"- said Zelenskyy.

The Head of State emphasized that substantive meetings are needed.

"Because there is no pleasure in just sunbathing with these bastards. But we must talk until this war is over. We must talk and hold to every case like this. To every opportunity to no longer have such three-month-old children (dead, - ed.)".

In the afternoon of 22 April 2022, the russian troops launched a missile strike on Odessa. One of the missiles hit the sixteen-storeyed residential building in the Kyiv district of Odesa. Apartments on the 4th and 5th floors caught fire.

According to the Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Anton Gerashchenko, the whole family died: Yavkina Liudmila, her daughter Yavkina Valeria and three-month-old granddaughter Kira.
