Any formats for meetings through mediators with russia will not give the desired result. This war can be stopped by the one who started it.
Thus, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy answered questions about the desire to meet in person with russian President Vladimir Putin.
"I'm not afraid to meet with the President of the russian federation, I have no right to be afraid, because our people showed that they are not afraid of anything ... Barehanded people stopped russian equipment. Like the Armed Forces and the National Guard. People are afraid for their children. Therefore, a normal leader should not be afraid when it comes to our State and independence," Zelenskyy stressed.
He noted that there are two ways to end the war: diplomatic and military. The President of Ukraine expressed his conviction that any normal person always chooses the diplomatic path, even if it is difficult.
"I want to stop the war and end it. There is a diplomatic path and a military one. Any normal person chooses the diplomatic path because he knows that even if it is difficult, it can prevent the loss of millions of people. I don’t want that," Zelenskyy said.
At the moment the Head of the Ukrainian State is giving a press conference to domestic and foreign journalists at the Kyiv metro station.
On April 22, the President of the European Council Charles Michel had a telephone conversation with Putin and called on him for direct negotiation with Zelenskyy.
