After the defeat of the Russian army and the loss of the cruiser Moskva, the Kremlin has launched another phase of repression against the navy and air force commanders. Admiral Osipov, commander of the Black Sea Fleet, has been arrested and dismissed.
Investigative proceedings are also underway against the first deputy commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Vice-Admiral Pinchuk.
Lieutenant General V. Yershov, commander of 6th Army, Lieutenant General S. Kiselev, commander of 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District and one of the commanders of the 7th Armies were dismissed because of unsatisfactory preparation for combat operations and heavy losses of men and equipment.
In addition, Major General A. Marzoyev was removed from his post as commander of the 22nd AC of the southern military district due to his unsatisfactory performance of the assigned tasks.
"Reprisals by the Kremlin also affected the back-up and support units. Due to the unsatisfactory organization of material and technical support of the units of the southern military district, Colonel M. Ponomaryov was dismissed from the post of the commander of the 103rd separate brigade of material and technical support," the intelligence service reported.
We would like to point out that Moscow has carried out sweeps not only of the military authorities, but also of the terrorist leaders in the Donetsk people's republic. Russia's Federal Security Service has arrested the so-called interior minister of the terrorist LPR, Ihor Kornet. He is being held in pre-trial detention facility in Rostov-on-Don.
